Hello Friends,<\/span><\/div>\n

Welcome to the Branch Local 1 page. I\u2019m glad to have this space to share updates, reminders, and important information with our membership.<\/span>
This is a big year for us, as our collective agreement expires at the end of the year and we will be heading into collective bargaining. As we get closer to the end of summer, we will be holding special call meetings to prepare for bargaining and make sure members have an opportunity to be informed and involved.<\/span><\/div>\n

Our General Membership Meetings have paused for the summer and will resume on September 5. Also, save the date for our Union Summer Party coming up on September 12. It will be held again at Fanshawe Provincial Park.<\/span><\/div>\n

Thank you to all members for your continued support and involvement. Our strength comes from standing together, supporting one another, and remembering that solidarity is what gives working people a voice.<\/span><\/div>\n

When you drink beer from a brown glass bottle, you\u2019re helping the environment and supporting thousands of green, local jobs. Almost all (98%) capped brown beer bottles are recovered and reused 17 times before being crushed, melted and produced into new bottles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Capped brown beer bottles directly supports good, green jobs. Unfortunately, these jobs are at risk due to the prevalence\u00a0of\u00a0canned beer.<\/span><\/p>\n
